In theory even if the oven is on longer you won’t waste money as your heating will be on. Except I guess if you have gas central heating – where the saving will be the difference between the cost of electricity and the cost of gas. This is currently about 7p per unit (the difference). So it won’t save huge amounts! If you have the choice try and cook with the microwave.
